Vusi Mahlangu, Managing Director, Tamela Capital Partners

Vusi Mahlangu is a Managing Director of Tamela Capital Partners. He leads the firm’s mezzanine investment activities across sectors and is a member of the firms’ investment committee, portfolio review committee and operating committee. Vusi founded Tamela Holdings in 2008.

Prior to the founding of Tamela Holdings in 2008, Vusi was a founder and a Chief Executive Officer of Makalani Holdings Limited. At Makalani, Sydney managed a portfolio of R2.9 billion mezzanine investments in various sectors. Prior to founding Makalani in 2005, Vusi was the head of public sector finance. Prior to an investment banking career, Vusi was a process engineer and production manager at African Oxygen Limited.
