The Africa Debate - UAE

After a decade of hosting London's leading Africa-focused investment forum, we are delighted to bring the Africa Debate to the UAE in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Economy, taking place in Dubai on 31 October 2024.

The Africa Debate - UAE Overview

Africa is rapidly emerging as one of the most significant markets for the UAE. Acknowledging the immense potential within Africa's burgeoning markets, the UAE has taken proactive steps to explore new opportunities across the continent, investing billions over the past decade. Similarly, African nations increasingly perceive the UAE as a pivotal export destination, with the UAE ranking among the top ten importers of goods and commodities for over a dozen African countries.

Against this backdrop, this year’s Forum aims to strengthen the UAE-Africa trade and investment corridor. The conference will feature discussions on crucial topics such as logistics and supply chain optimization, infrastructure development and energy transition, as well as addressing food security challenges through agribusiness and sustainable finance.

About The Africa Debate - UAE

This year’s programme will focus on opportunities along the UAE-Africa trade and investment corridor, with sessions on financial services, transportation and logistics, energy and infrastructure, and ICT and electronics. The event will convene global businesses, private and public investment bodies, thought leaders, and policy makers for a series of dialogues about UAE-Africa relations in 2024 and beyond.
