Regional Outlook Webinar Series - Southern Africa

As Southern Africa begins 2025, the region faces a mix of challenges and opportunities, with steady growth projected at 2.6% amid political shifts, structural reforms, and evolving global dynamics.

Following the formation of a Government of National Unity in 2024, South Africa is undergoing transformative reforms that are revitalising investor confidence and economic stability. The cessation of loadshedding marks another significant milestone, while the country’s G20 presidency – a first for the continent – will provide a unique platform to advocate for Africa on the global stage. Meanwhile, rising demand for critical minerals presents significant opportunities for Zambia, Zimbabwe, and others to drive the green energy transition and broader industrial growth. Efforts to deepen collaboration in trade, energy, and infrastructure within the Southern African Development Community should also feature prominently throughout the year, fostering resilience and creating avenues for sustainable growth.

In this webinar, speakers will explore the key trends shaping Southern Africa in 2025, including key opportunities for investment, strategies for maximising the benefits of the critical minerals boom, and how South Africa might leverage its G20 leadership to advance regional integration and attract global investment.

The webinar will begin at 12pm GMT.
